Auskickers get lot's of positive encouragement , regardless of their personal skill levels.

It's all about learning and having fun with other kids and parents down at Yanchep's Oldham Oval

It's also nice to see the twinkle in their eyes when they receive an award . At some stage they all are rewarded for the way they have played  with others ,  improved on skills or just listened to their coaches !

PS: All kids receive positive encouragement and awards.

What is Auskick And What Do You Do ?

The NAB AFL Auskick program makes learning to play AFL fun, safe and easy for boys and girls. Through weekly coaching sessions they will learn the skills of the game in an exciting, social and safe environment. The AFL Auskick program runs Nationwide and we have a great program at Yanchep Districts Junior Football Club ( YDJFC ) - We are located at the new Yanchep Active Open Space facility

Parent Participation is Critical To Your Child's Success At Auskick

We encourage Parents to be involved with the participation as much as possible.

You don't need to have any former football experience and you don't even need to be fit , there are plenty of ways to get involved , meet new people and have fun with other parents each week at Auskick.

You will be surprised how much of a buzz your kids get out of watching Mum , Dad , Grandparents or their Carers getting involved and can't wait to tell you what you did right or wrong when the session has finished  ! ....

NOTE : This won't always be the case as your child get's older and they start getting a bit funny about daggy parents being around .... : (    so enjoy it while you can , and while you are still  'Cool' in their eyes  : )

Youv'e Probably Seen These Kids Already ....

They look very serious don't they ?  .....

We know that this was a photo shoot that was 'going for a serious grown up AFL player look ', but just imagine how much fun these kids had making that advertisement for TV.

Who would have thought , going to Auskick on a Saturday morning would lead to them being on a National TV campaign for the AFL and getting to meet so many of their footy idols.

Great opportunities always start somewhere, and Auskick may just be where your child finds new friends new skills and has a ball !

So , What Happens On The Day ?

This is a general guide or program for each Auskick session, keep in mind it could vary a bit.

  • 9.00 am - Arrive at the ground have a kick of the Footy with Mum and Dad , Brothers , Sisters and your new Auskick mates . Help set out ground for Auskick Program
  • 10.00 am - Start - Join in age groups and move to allocated areas - You will assemble in groups by year level and break off into groups with your coaches
